Established in 1989 as a non-profit conservation and development non-governmental organisation (NGO), Frontier has been an innovator in creating quality volunteer programmes across the globe.

Operation Wallacea
Operation Wallacea (Opwall) is a conservation research organisation that is funded by, and relies on, teams of student volunteers who join expeditions for the opportunity to work on real-world research programmes alongside academic researchers. Unlike most traditional gap year and volunteer organisations, Opwall has a heavy research focus with 469 academic papers published to date and support from University academics worldwide.

Pod Volunteer
We are a non-profit organisation arranging ethical, sustainable and supported volunteer placements at animal sanctuaries, conservation projects and community initiatives around the world. We scour the globe for the best projects and then get to know these projects deeply through close relationships and visits. Projects always fulfil local needs and deliver genuine benefit. We have all volunteered overseas and are passionate about sharing these experiences with others – we love what we do!

Travel Teacher
